While
the system was only officially unveiled today, Nintendo
and other companies have been hard at work creating games
for the DS for months now. Here are some of the best titles
that we will be playing someday soon on the Nintendo DS.
Metroid Prime: Hunters
Using
wireless technology, up to four players can participate
in a Samus battle royale. Each player gets a different color
Samus suit with many features of the GCN game, including
rolling up into a ball. Touching the sensitive bottom screen
will turn the camera and point you in the direction of the
enemy. The game also features graphics, textures, sounds,
and much more from the GameCube Metroid Prime.
Wario Ware DS
After conquering both the Game Boy Advance and GameCube, Wario
is set to be released on the Nintendo DS system. It is not
certain at this time whether or not the new Wario Ware game
will simply be a port or a new experience using the dual screen
concept. Expect to hear more about this game in the future.
Mario Kart DS
Nintendo has announced that they are bringing Mario Kart to
the Nintendo DS. Besides the title and six screenshots, not
much is known about this game. The screens show that the top
screen will be used for gameplay and the bottom will be a
map and leaderboard throughout the race.
In addition to these games, third party companies are also
developing games for the Nintendo DS. Here is a list of announced
titles:
Activision - Spider-Man
Bandai - Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and One Piece
Banpresto - Dragonball Z
Capcom - Mega Man Battle Network, Viewtiful Joe and Gyakuten
Saiban
Electronic Arts - Need for Speed
Hudson - Bomberman
Koei - Dynasty Warriors
Konami - Frogger 2011 and Yu-Gi-Oh!
Namco - Pac-Pix, Pac'n Roll, Mr. Driller
Sega - Sonic and Project Rub
Square Enix - Dragon Quest Monsters, Egg Monster Heroes and
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Tecmo - Monster Rancher and Team Ninja title
Ubisoft - Rayman
Many other third parties have offered their support, over
one hundred in all. Expect to hear many more game announcements
as the year goes on. |
