| Star Fox Adventures |
 |
Star Fox made its first big debut on Nintendo 64. It was highly anticipated and it lived up to its expectations. It re-defined air combat and adventure games with its unique story line. Each level was a new enviorment with unique obstacles and missions. Now years later, Star Fox has returned in an all new adventure which is very different from the first.
Gameplay Star Fox Adventures delivers 5 different worlds with many sub-worlds inside of them. You fight through each world in search of Spell Stones, which when all 4 are joined together, the world of Dinosaur Planet will be rejoined. Along with collecting the 4 Spell Stones you must collect 5 Krazoa Spirits. The spirits are needed to activate the Spell Stone's powers, but each spirit is hidden inside a shrine. Each shrine is full of puzzles, obstacles, and a trial at the end. Once all the spirits are and Spell Stones are returned, the planet is returned, and the game in won.
Graphics The graphics in Star Fox Adventures are amazing. The game is full of vast enviorments with many characters to interact with. Even the smallest details were not overlooked. One aspect that suprised me was the fur on characters. Fox, Krystal, and a few others, have a layer around their body that gives them a fuzzy, and suprisingly realistic look. The dinosaurs have full body movement. When they move one limb, they whole body reacts to it and looks abosultely amazing.
Sound Star Fox has sound thats just as good as it's graphics. Each character you run into has a unique voice and personality that matches the kind of dinosaur they are and the enviorment around them. The music is great in Star Fox. Levels like Thorntail Hollow and Cape Claw have laid back music and help set the mood. Overall sound scores very high for sound.
Conclusion Star Fox Adventures is a must buy for any Star Fox fan. Even though the aspect of space combat is almost completely eliminated, it still delivers a great game with about 24 hours of gameplay.
