Neverwinter Nights Review

The first time I saw pictures of Neverwinter Nights, and found out it was a Dungeons and Dragons game, I could not wait till it was released. The game itself is awesome just because you can play either side; you can choose to fight with companions, to search for treasure and adventure, or you can be the Dungeon Master (Dungeon Master is like the story creator) to seal their fate.

The game is set in medieval times and with that comes the poverty and economy. There is a plague covering your kingdom, and it's your job to find the antidote. Throughout the game you go through adventures and follow the story to either fail or succeed. Either way, the game and the story is a blast.

But, that's not even the best part of NWN! It also comes with an original game editor, where you can create your own stories for people to play via Internet. Your pretty much all that determines what happens because you can do whatever you feel if you do happen to have wanderers in your lands.

There are a few graphic problems. System requirements that you need to play the game are ugly. But, if you have the right equipment, I highly recommend this game for any D&D fan or RPG junky. The graphics are nothing to be worried about, as you can see below (screenshots), its just the lag with the format that drop the score.

The sound is also comforting. A lot of time was put into the sound, so sit back and listen to it once and a while. The music gets you into the game, and whatever the occasion you'll always be glad to listen to an Orchestrated sound track.

Overall, I think Neverwinter Nights is worth the purchase. The game can keep you busy for days, and the adventures are never ending.
