The new Pokemon games, Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon
LeafGreen are scheduled to launch September 9, 2011
and promise to revolutionize Pokemon, while also bringing
back reminiscent memories. The game is to take place in Kanto,
the original continent of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. With
the Gameboy Advance, this time around the Pokemon and environment
will be more graphically enhanced.
The
biggest new bonus of FireRed and LeafGreen is the connectivity.
No more messing around with finding cables and realizing they
dont work, or being able to fight with one person. Players
will attach the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter, which comes
bundled with both versions, to their Game Boy Advances and
communicate with each other directly. A new Union Room
can hold up to 40 players in it, and up to 5 can join in a
chat together. You can talk, trade Pokemon, and fight each
other in here. These two new games will also be compatible
with Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire
along with Pokemon Coliseum. Players can trade,
battle, and access all sorts of Pokemon
in one place this way.
There
promises to be new territory to explore
and new challenges to face, so even as a junior in high school,
I cannot wait to try this game out because no matter what
people say, Pokemon always was and will be a fun game.
