Who would have ever thought that Disney characters would actually be present in an awesome RPG game? I mean, come on. It's a ridiculous thought. Crazily enough, Square Enix actually managed to pull it off with Kingdom Hearts. Now, the long awaited sequel, Kingdom Hearts 2, is on the horizon.

The sequel takes place a year after the events of the original. Gamers will be happy to see many familiar faces as well as some fresh new ones. Many new Disney characters including Aladdin, Hercules, Arial, Peter Pan, Belle, as well as many new Final Fantasy characters have joined the original cast of Sora, Goofy, and Donald.

The second installment in the series introduces a new graphics engine that looks very much improved over the original and it spans over many new environments. There are also many new, fancy smancy looking special effects that accompany the new engine.

All in all, the video was short and didn't reveal too much. It looks as if Square Enix wants to keep a lot of mystery around the sequel. Either way, console RPG fans should have a lot to look forward to with Kingdom Hearts 2.
