This game is currently being set to be released on my birthday. What a nice surprise huh? It would sure be nice to see High Voltage produce a quality Leisure Suit Larry game since the series has been out of commission for quite a while now. The originals thrived because they took on a then controversial subject, sexuality in video games. Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude is a risky project since it is being developed in a time when adventure games really aren't doing that well. But from the looks of it, Magna Cum Laude is shaping up quite well and hopefully it will get the attention it deserves.

In Magna Cum Laude, you will play the part of Larry Lovage, the nephew of the original Larry. The new Larry is a desperate college student who just needs some lovin', ya know? When you take control, your job is to get laid. Simple enough. You will have access to many areas around campus so you can complete the smaller missions on the way to your main goal: to get on a reality television dating show.

Of course, the originals were more focused on comedy than actual sex. This game looks to follow the others as the boys over at High Voltage have filled the script with plenty of jokes. However, that doesn't mean there won't be sex. Expect a "M" for Mature rating on this when it hits shelves this fall due to plenty of cursing and full frontal nudity.

If you liked the originals then you had better try to wait until this one comes out. Point and click adventure fans, get ready.
