How many people who actually played any of the Silent Hill games weren't scared %$*&less at one point in the game? I mean honestly, the games are just downright scary. Silent Hill 4: The Room, the next installment in the series looks to be the same way. I have to say, whoever thought of this stuff must really be demented or have some serious problems up top, if you know what I'm sayin'.

The Room will have players taking on the part of Henry Townshend, who, after waking from a nasty nightmare, discovers that the only way to get out of his apartment is through a tunnel into a horrific alternate reality. According to Wilson Cheng, the product manager at Konami, "Silent Hill 4 dives inside the physical and mental space of gamers to create the most terrifying game in the series." Strong words considering how scary the others were. We'll have to wait and see what horrors the developers at Konami have hidden up their sleeves.

This 4th installment is based in the quiet little town of South Ashfield, which is not far from Silent Hill. The game will have players switching in between the real world and the alternate reality. While in the alternate reality, gamers will be presented with the accustomed third person setting, but in the real world there will be an all-new first person view.

Be ready to take on some frightening new enemies and environments when this game hits shelves later this year. Be afraid, be very afraid.
