Vice City Review

Let me start off by saying that this game is simply amazing. You think GTA3 was big? Pop Vice City into your PS2 and you'll find and even better and bigger city to explore with action packed missions to complete.

The city is filled with so many alleys, back roads, and other interesting locations that exploring is fun by itself. You are able to use many methods of transportation. Feel like piloting a helicopter? Go right ahead. Or hop into one of Vice City's wide variety of cars. All in all there are 120 usuable vehicles in the game. And along with that, you have 30 weapons to choose from. Sounds good huh?

A new, creative storyline puts you in the head of Tommy Vercetti, a ruthless criminal that has a passion for money, power, and women. You move to Vice City to expand the family business and run your own drug empire. The missions in this sequel have been improved as well. No mission is alike, and there's always something new to accomplish.

I found the radio stations to be the most interesting aspect of the game. Over 80 songs in all. My favorite station is K-Chat where you can listen to hilarious call-in's while cruising around. There are 9 stations in all which leaves plenty to be heard.

Vice City also allows you to buy property provided you have the cash. Investing in property is a great way to earn money. A lot of the buildings are open for exploring such as nightclubs, malls, etc. Jacking a new car displayed in the mall and running over all the shoppers is my personal hobby.

Overall this game is almost flawless. One gripe I have is the auto targeting feature. It makes it tough when you are surrounded. And the first person aiming is a little touchy in my opinion. But these minor details can be easily overlooked.

Vice City is a great imrovement over GTA3. With a better storyline, great characters, a bigger city, and an ever wider variety of guns and vehicles, this game will have you satisfied from start to finish.
