In breaking, and surprising, news, Swedish physics middleware developer Meqon Research announced today that 3D Realms has licensed its physics engine for use in Duke Nukem Forever. As mind boggling as it may be, it is true that development as this long awaited and heavily delayed title is still continuing.

In today's Daily News! segment, games-that-matter.com will cover a new Highlander game from SCi Entertainment that was just announced, ESPN NBA 2K5 from Sega went gold today, Shadow Hearts: Covenant and Evil Genius from Midway and Vivendi Universal Games, respectively, both shipped to retailers today, and some interesting tidbits on the new Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory game from Ubisoft.
